Last night, Philadelphia Distilling hosted a pizza pop up event with Pizza Freak Co. and Chef Kurt Evans' Black Dragon Takeout project. The event was a huge success, with over 100 people attending and enjoying delicious frozen pizzas with special toppings and paired cocktails from the bar wizards at Philadelphia Distilling.
Highlights of the event included Chef Kurt Evans' signature General Roscoe Chicken, and his special Mustard Green Chili Oil, both unique and unique and delicious bites. The Pizza Freak Co. pies were also a hit, with a variety of toppings to choose from, including their Pepperoni with Miso Ranch Dressing and Calabrian Chili Crisp, and the "O.G." Three Cheese and Sauce classic option.
Special cocktails were paired with the pies:
"Level 28"- Bluecoat American Dry Gin, pink peppercorn, tonic, rosemary
"Cheeky Vigo"- Vigo Amaro, sarsaparilla, club soda
"Khem Martin"- Bluecoat American Dry Gin, house olive and pepper brine
"Gimlet DiFinocchiop"- Bluecaot American Dry Gin, fennel. lime
But the event wasn't just about the food and drinks. Proceeds from the event were donated to Free the Ballot, a worthy nonprofit organization that works to ensure that every eligible voter has access to the ballot box. This added a meaningful and important element to the evening, making it more than just a fun night out.
Overall, the pizza pop up at Philadelphia Distilling was a great success, bringing together delicious food and drinks, a worthy cause, and a fun atmosphere. It's events like these that make Philadelphia such a great city to live in, and we can't wait to see what other exciting events are in store for us in the future.
